Emerging Vector-borne Diseases in a Changing European Environment

Deadline for abstract submission: 15th December 2009
Notification to authors: 15th February 2010

Participants are invited to submit an abstract in the following topics:

  • Mosquitoes and mosquito-borne diseases, including arboviral diseases (e.g. West Nile, Rift Valley fever) and malaria,
  • Ticks and Tick-borne diseases,
  • Rodents and Rodent-borne diseases,
  • Sandflies and Sandfly-borne diseases.
The content of posters and oral communications presented during the conference should focus on:
  • The identification of high-risk ecosystems for the emergence of vector-borne diseases,
  • Biological, ecological and epidemiological processes involved in the emergence of vector-borne diseases, and their modelling,
  • Applications for improved vector or disease monitoring, and disease information systems.
Abstracts guidelines:
Abstracts must conform to the following guidelines. Abstracts that are not in this format will not be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

- Title
- Authors
- Affiliations
- Email presenting author information
- Abstract which present methods and major conclusion.
- Size: maximum 500 words,  in 12 point Arial font.
- Key words

You can then upload your abstract and modify it when you wish to before confirming the final version. To confirm and submit the final version click on "Submit". "Edit" allows you to modify your abstract only.
